My goals for dinner after this baby: Try 1 Pinterest recipe a week and get efficient at meal planning. I have a list going of 15 recipes that will be in our normal rotation and I've included a column for possible sides. So I need suggestions:
What do you serve with salads that are the main dish (Taco salad or Chx Ceasar) and what do you serve with sandwiches? So far I have yogurt and fruit but that is often lunch so I don't want to bore my family. Thanks!
Re: Question on dinner
I don't tend to serve much when salad is the main meal. I will add things for the boys, rolled up lunch meat, string cheese, maybe pasta with butter/parmesean.
As for other sides we do the Alexa fries a lot; sweet pot, rosemary, etc. Cut up veggies with pb or ranch.
This, although sometimes I serve some crusty bread alongside the salad. Also, I saw (and tried) a variation on a taco salad that was good--instead of putting crushed tortilla chips on it, you put tater tots.
I usually don't serve anything extra if Salad is the main thing. But I like your goal for trying a new recipe each week! I definitely need to get back into the habit of trying new recipes.
I can't believe you're almost done!!! I'm so excited for you!
The only side I use with a big salad would be bread of some sort. For sandwiches it varies depending on the sandwich. We do fries, chips, or soup.
Salads don't get any sides in our house except maybe some bread if it's a lighter salad
Sandwiches get fries/salad/pasta salad/fruit/veggies. We don't do a lot of sandwiches for dinner though.
