I run, strength train, zumba, swim, cycle, etc. Lately my IT Band has been screaming at me, especially after and sometimes during my run. I have gotten a foam roller and it seems to help.
Here are some good stretches. Also, when you run, make sure you're running on a flat surface--run in the middle of the road if you have to. If it keeps getting worse, get an Rx for PT. I had iontophoresis on mine and it did WONDERS.
