Ways to get the nickname....

Lucy!

I think Lucy in itself is beautiful, and something we are considering. However, is there another way to get the nn Lucy?

I have come up with these so far (some might be a stretch):
Lucille
Elizabeth
Eloise

Are there any others? I think I could also use Lucy from Luciana, although I am not Italian and technically Luciana is pronounced Lu-chon-ah (I believe).

Re: Ways to get the nickname....

  • What about Lucia? It can be pronounced a couple different ways, but my cousin pronounces it loo-SEE-uh, and we call her Lucy.

  • I guess if you want to great really creative you could pick a name that starts with the LU sound (Lumina Lumen Lula Louisa) with a middle name starting with a C.

Lula Claire (Lucy)? Again getting creative.

    I also saw Lucine.

  • While Elizabeth has many fine nicknames, I am trying to figure out how Lucy could be one of them?

As someone else suggested Lucia. If you want any name that starts with Lou could work.

  • Lucinda

Maybe Louise, but that could be a bit of a stretch.

  • I'm sort of in love with the name Luciana. And also Lucia. Lucille would be a common full name to use. I don't think there are very many people who would say "luCHiana" because people are not familiar with italian spellings. Also, Lucia is also russian so you shouldn't have any problems with "luchia" on that one. I know a couple of Lu"see"ia's.
