We tried to have sex last night. OW that hurt! I was so surprised, I dilated to 9cm while in labor but was never pushing, yet it I felt like I was being torn open. I don't get it, did anyone else hurt this much?

We used lube and went slow but it was not happening and it kind of depressed me..

I had that after DD #2 but turned out I had a post op infection. Good luck with your future tries.

Yep! It hurt horribly until about 7 months PP. I was also very surprised. I only made it to 4 CM, so there was definitely no pushing involved. It is just a hormone thing-it can be especially bad if you are BFing. It does get better though.

This!! It def. has a lot to do with hormones! It took a few weeks after we started having sex again to feel better, taking it slow the first few weeks helps. But this is very common in almost every woman who has been pregnant so you're not alone!

I've never had the ability to dilate and it hurt for like 7 or 8 months.

Yes, the first time was very painful. I was really surprised. It gets better though.

I agree with the previous poster who said if you're BF-ing the hormones really dry you out. LOTS of lube. Be patient, and go slow. It honestly took like three tries for it not to kill me... and I never did labor (emergency C-section), so that has nothing to do with it. I think it's just the hormones.
