DD is normally sitting on the floor surrounded by toys, so she hasn't really had an opportunity to work on pulling up. After folding some laundry the other day, I sat her in the laundry basket and she grabbed the side of the basket and almost pulled herself up to standing (then she slipped a bit and I caught her). Anyone else's little one working on standing?! I'm not sure if I'm ready for this!
Just wanted to add- Julia only rolled a few times and hasn't crawled yet...
Re: Pulling up to standing?
Ty is insistent on standing. I swear, he won't crawl - he'll go straight to walking. He's been trying to use his toys as leverage to stand, which clearly doesn't work. He's really good at grabbing my pinkies that I put out for him to use and pulling himself up. I'd say he started doing that right before Christmas, and about a week later he figured out how to separate his feet so that he could work on balance.
Right now we're trying to work on keeping his back straight. He's starting to get excited about stuff below him and bends to look at it! (or a cat!)
Reed has done this a few times in his bathtub. He grabs the side of it and starts to pull himself up. Since he's been in the tub, I've always make him sit back down though.
He definitely isn't close to crawling yet either!
He hasn't tried yet! He hasnt rolled from his back yet either. He has been sitting on his own for about two months though. I am in no hurry for him to stand, he is getting too big too fast.

No crawling yet, but various attempts at pulling up to standing. I hope DD does crawl! A friend said her DD started walking at 8 months!!
Nothing is baby proofed, so walking clearly has to wait until we get our act together.
Who has dropped the crib mattress?
Julia started doing this in the bathtub a week or two ago, too!
Impressive! I hear you on the sleeping thing! lol
