When DH and I woke DD up this morning, we noticed that she had spit up/vomited during the night. Not a lot, but it was yellowish in color and I've never noticed yellow spit-up before. When I picked her up, I noticed this solid, balled-up thing laying where her head was. It was about the size of a pea and was white/yellow/brown. Gross!! At first I freaked when I thought about my poor baby spitting up that "thing" in her sleep but then DH reminded me that it was probably soft when it came out and hardened overnight. But just to make sure, we did what any nerdy parent would do...DH took the mystery object to work to look at it under a microscope

His scientific opinion is that the object is a "worm" of banana with a DD hair stuck in it, probably from her sheet. Poor kid is practically bald and the few hairs she has are getting stuck in spit-up!
Re: A whole new level of nerdiness!
He is a firearms examiner. The microscope is normally used to look at bullets and such, so its pretty powerful. And also useful for looking at balls of spit up! I could have taken the ball to school and used one of the bio microscopes to look at it, but DH's equipment is more powerful. (ha, get it
). Can you tell it's Monday??
I knew you'd like this post! Great nerdy minds think alike!!
No one else will ever know the strength of my LOVE for you. After all, you're the only one who knows what my heart sounds like from the inside

Yeah I'm thinking it was a combo of mucus (she is getting over a cold), formula spit-up, and bananas. She seems happy so probably nothing to be worried about :-)
