I was all set to buy the Ergo when I saw a site about the Beco Gemini. This one seems to be even better than the Ergo, since LO can face forward in the front position, the back straps criss-cross and fasten on the sides so easy to reach clips, and less bulky than the Ergo. But I never see anyone talk about it so maybe not better? Hope to decide soon since DD is due next month:) So any info is welcomed!

Re: Beco Gemini or Ergo?

Maybe it's just me, but I don't know anyone super into babywearing that prefers the Ergo over the Beco. The Beco seems to be where it is at in terms of soft-structured, brand name carriers because of the comfortable, supportive internal harness.
See if this helps you compare...

Also, I wouldn't consider front-facing a deciding point. While some carriers can do front-facing, it isn't optimal for baby's comfort, your comfort, or giving LO the ability to turn away from stimulation. A back carry is a better bet for allowing LO to face forward.
More Green For Less Green
I've never used an ergo but we recently got a gemini and I love it as does my H and my sister who babysits while I'm at work. FWIW my 5mo is around 20lbs and 28in so he's a big boy but I've worn him for over 3hrs straight shopping at Ikea and we were both comfy.
I really liked the moby when he was little and I will eventually get another wrap for me since H wasn't too keen on wrapping, but the gemini is working great.
While I can't compare it to the ergo, if you want a SSC the gemini is a great option.
