Reagan is 20 months old and was able to identify numbers 1-10 around 19 months. She can recognize about 3/4 of the letters. She can count to 13 (but always misses "9").
She still cannot and seems to have no interested in learning. She'd rather sing the alphabet song than talk about which letter is which. She can also count to 11, but doesn't seem to care what the numbers actually look like.
She did learn all her colors shortly before 2 years.
I think kids just pick and choose what they want to learn first.
You're also going to get a lot of the nestie moms with advanced kids answering since we all like to brag.

My dd is 2 1/2. She can sing the ABC song and count 1 - 15ish. She can identify a few letters (like L for Lexi, M for Mommy, etc....) but she doesn't know the entire alphabet to see it.
I will say the book Chicka-Chicka Boom Boom has really helped with her identifying letters.
My ds is 27 months and can recite all the letters and count to 20, but can't recognize most of them.
He does know all his colors, though, including weird ones like burgandy and peach.
He also has quite a knack for naming different types of vehicles. Not like "car," "truck" etc, but actual names of car brands like "Ferrari," "Corvette," "Camry." I love walking around a parking lot and hearing my ds yell, "Look, mommy, a red Corvette!" and see people stare like he is a car freak kid! LOL!
I agree that kids choose what they will learn first like an earlier poster said.
I can't quite remember exactly but definitely could recognise letters by 2nd birthday because he used to pick out letters from signs. Also could do 1-10 around the same time but kind of rote learned not counting items. Now at 2.5 he can count properly items to ten (like toes or cars) but actually can reel off numbers to 20. He learned to recite the alphabet before he could pick out all the letters. Even now he will sometimes just say "what letters are those?" but he means what words do they make because when I point to them he can tell me each letter.

But, she has NO concept of colors at ALL.
