How often do you buy new pillows for your bed? Is there a recommendation on how often you should change your pillows,like a toothbrush (3mos.). I only bring this up bc I was changing all the bedding and looking at a few of the pancakes...aka pillows! ??

We bought a new mattress recently and the salesperson said pillows should be replaced (I think) every 5ish years. And he told us that pillows double their weight in that time because of dead skin cells, etc. Gross! It was possibly a scare tactic to make us buy new pillows, but it worked!

I buy a new pillow whenever my current one stops being comfortable or supportive. If I find I'm readjusting the pillow multiple times per night for a few weeks, then it's time for me to get a new one. I probably buy a new pillow every couple of years or so.

I actually just bought myself a water pillow. It's the most comfortable pillow I have ever had.

I use a buckwheat pillow and I clean it 2x a year. I wash the cover much more often than that.

I usually replace other pillows every 2-3 years, but they get washed roughly once a season.
