Two Under 2

How did you survive the last couple weeks/days?

I am at my wits end with DS and I still have 12 days to go!  He's starting into the terrible two's and teething.  I am at the point where I can barely pick him up and my nerves/patience are shot and I am finding myself being very short with him.  I know its typical toddler behavior, but he seems to defy EVERYTHING I say to him!

Any advice on how to deal?  DH is working 3rd shift for inventory so he's gone from like 5pm to 7 am and then sleeps all day, leaving me alone with DS 24/7.  I'm looking forward to going to work tomorrow for a break, how sad is that!

  • The last weeks are rough. I found it easier to just let lots of the battles go- as long as DS was bathed, fed and happy, it was a good day, whatever else happened. Even if I spent all day reading him books instead of cleaning or doing other household chores. :)
