talk about bad timing....(vent)

First of all let me say that no dates have been set, I am just a worrier like this...

My husband applied for a job across the country months ago and had not heard anything until yesterday and now he tells me he is going to need to go out there to interview obviously. So I ask him when and all he can tell me is soon. Well, at 37 weeks I feel like even though baby looks like it will be coming slowly, if he goes before baby, I will be worried about going into labor while he is gone.

My OB also told me at my last visit that she has a surgery scheduled for 3 days after my due date, so "tell baby to hurry up," otherwise she will have my assigned to one of her partners while she is recovering.

So now I feel pressure to have the baby sooner rather than later when last week I was all about being relaxed and letting baby take its sweet time.

Oh and at the other end, I can't even talk to our HR about leave until Jan 16th because of some b.s. with short term disability paperwork. I called weeks ago and was told that was the earliest they would start my paperwork.

Whatever. I will have this baby when I have it.

What horrible timing! It's like no matter when your husband goes, anytime in the next month will be terrible. Hopefully he'll be able to do just an overnight. And hopefully he'll get the job, so it will all be worth it.

Of course you'll be ok no matter what happens!
