    I think this is a great advancement in preventing preterm labor. I had a nurse "check" me with her fingers before sending me home when I went in to L&D for bleeding at 24 weeks. She said I was "funneling" but I was still "closed". I wonder if she would have had this instrument if she would have been so flippant about sending me home.

    I agree it is an advance, but I'm cringing thinking about all the times they probe you as it is!

    That looks way more comfortable than the giant vag cam I had to face every 2 weeks to check my cervical length!
