When I dropped Steven off at school this am Evan wasn't there, but he came later. I asked how he was today and they said he was very good. He had absolutely no issues until Evan arrived later, and that's when stuff started happening. And they also said (without me even asking) that they could tell that it was mostly Evan coming after him. Not always in a bad way, but he is just being a little pesky when it's clear Steven doesn't want to play with him and Evan was just randomly tackling him, taking toys, just generally being annoying, and they could clearly see that. They think it's because Evan really likes Steven, and kinda sees him as a big brother-type. They also said Steven talked a lot more today, which is something we were working on at home a lot the last few days "Miss Mary, __" "Evan, please don't __".
I'm glad they're finally seeing what I've been witnessing and now they know my kid isn't just a terror. They even mentioned (again, without me asking) if he's being "cramped" by being one of the oldest and since he's older and bigger, maybe he would benefit from being in an older class. I could tell they genuinely don't want to lose him, but it may work out better for him since his communication skills are more developed than most of the others.
So, I feel much better. And he was an ANGEL for me yesterday, so I'm glad they got to see that and know he's good.
