I think you should see how your stuff looks in there and then decide if it makes sense. From the photos, I like it, and I'm not at all one for faux finishes. I would make everything else in there super simple though... simple modern light fixtures and art and accessories.

I think it's kinda cool and would see how it looks with your stuff in there before painting over it.

I really like that finish! Can you tell how it's done at all?
And are the 2 walls shown different colors, or is that just the lighting?
I have no idea how they did it. And the walls are all the same color.
