Thank you so much for this . . . you've been in my thoughts these last couple of days. My beacon of hope :-) This is all good to hear, especially about the spotting. Mine is back today and it's freaking me out. But I'm trying to stay calm!Jitterbug2668:
Court - this LO growing inside of me is proof that numbers don't mean a thing and even after 2 iffy sonograms that things can still work out! My numbers were sooooooo bad. They were doubling every 96 hours in the beginning and then settled at 72, my progesterone was only 2, and I had spotting/bleeding through 8 weeks and currently have it on occassion due to placenta previa (which they wouldn't know about just yet w/ you as the placenta doesn't show up until 12 weeks). I was in complete denial... until about a month ago, even then up until my appt on Tuesday, I think I was still in denial to a degree that everything was going to be ok.
The first sono I had at 6 weeks measured me at 4, by 8 weeks it was up to 7, and now I'm right on target. Its just so early and the machines really can't get a good read.
My thoughts and prayers are with you! Please page me if you need anything.
~Theresa
If this all works out, we need to start a Mirena babies club . . .
Re: ***Jitterbug***
Hang in there Court! My spotting would come and go from day to day as well. It would range anywhere from just when I wipe, to needing a pantyliner, to even including small blood clots. My OB never would say I was going to miscarry but she mentioned quite a few times that if my bleeding got any worse to head to the ER immediately and she'd meet me there and when she saw how low my progesterone level was she did say to prepare for the worst. Now that I'm 16 weeks, I look back and see how stressful the entire situation was. I just think this baby is out to gimme a run for my money. I sincerely hope this all works out for you.
The more people I come in contact with and share my story the more I've come across that have gotten pregnant with an IUD. Its actually quite alarming. DH and I have already discussed that we're done after this one.
