First internal today...

it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be! I'm 1cm dilated, I know it's not much and doesn't mean much but I was excited to hear it! I also lost a pound, odd but I'll take it!

    that's exciting.  I had one at 35 weeks and it was way better than I thought too.  I wasn't dialated yet only a little "thinned."

    My first internal was no big deal either. This is my first time having a male OB, and from what other bumpies said about internals hurting really bad, I was super nervous.

    It wasn't uncomfortable at all. He used 2 fingers, pressed on my belly a bit, and it didn't even phase me. Honestly, I've been way more uncomfortable with SO's foreplay than that internal. No spotting afterwards. I was also not dilated at all, so maybe that has something to do with it.
