I'm typically the person who doesn't go to the doc much, because it's usually a cold and doesn't need an RX. DH goes to the doc for every little thing and ends up being told to get an OTC med.
DD threw up her dinner Wednesday night (over several separate instances over hours), but did well yesterday with basically water and a little milk in the afternoon. No food. Yesterday she had a low-grade fever (she won't let me take her temp, but she was warm all over), and that's gone today. This morning DH gave her milk and water first thing, and I (mistakenly thinking she was doing better) gave her another 2 oz milk. So that came up. Other than throwing up food/milk, no problems. I don't think she has anything requiring antibiotics, but DH's gut reaction is "call the ped." WWYD?
Re: would you call the ped?
ditto the no milk thing. We went a week without it when DS was still an infant (9 months old). He just threw up more whenever we gave it to him.
i'd stop with the milk until she can keep down solids for a few days. each time sprout regressed was when we reintroduced milk into his diet.
i hope for your entire family's sake it is not the bug sprout has. it's been horrible.
i would call the pedi just because of the fever in addition to the vomiting. they specifically asked about that when I called the nurse's line on NYE & again when I took him in. Most likely it will just have to run it's course, but if they would prefer to see her, it'd be easier to set up an appt now than over the weekend.
