We just got back from almost two weeks away with family (tough re-entry, I might add) and my ornament arrived literally 30 minutes before we headed to the airport, so I didn't have a chance to take a pic or post until now. I believe my Elf was Leapgirl, per her earlier post. :-) Thanks, Leapgirl - I love it!! I doubt this will work, but I'm going to attempt the elusive PIP of the beautiful ornament she sent...
And an update on me... We found out yesterday that we are having two... BOYS! I am in a state of shock. I love being a "boy mom" but... three?! Yowza. I shudder to think of our grocery bills 10-15 years from now. I know E will love having two little brothers to follow in his wake, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed that I will never get the experience of raising a girl. Oh well, I completely believe we get the children we're meant to have, so I can't wait to meet these little guys! Ultrasound went well overall - all 2.5 hours of it. Baby A's placenta is over my cervix right now, but hopefully that will change as my uterus grows. I'm feeling TONS of movement, which is fun, but also making me realize we are going to have our work cut out for us keeping up with our energetic little pack! Oh my... 3 boys... still waiting for that to sink in all the way...
(Edited to fix PIP... Success on the second try, not too bad given my track record. LOL!)
Re: Thank you, Elf! (and an AW update)
Wow! THREE BOYS! Exciting!
As someone who would love to parent both a son and daughter at some point (but would similarly be fine with whatever I get), I appreciate your honesty about your feelings.
I'm sure your household will be full of energy, plenty of food and an enormous amount of love!
Glad you like it! Congratulations on the boys! (And ditto to what Joy said.)
I totally get this. When we found out we were having 2 boys, I was sad that we would never have a daughter. But I agree that we get the children we are meant to have and now I love having only boys!
(and I know what you mean about the grocery bills!)
exactly.
While TTCing, DW and I always wished for 3 boys
that wasnt in the cards, but that doesnt change the fact that we got the perfect family for us - and you will too!

Well I hope you have some good boy names left on your list!! LOL There would be some major head scratching in this house if we needed to come up with three names of either gender, we are so picky!
Congratulations! I would feel the same twinge of disappointment at not getting to experience having a daughter. I'm sure it will melt away completely when you see their handsome faces
