Cloth Diapering

It has just not worked out for me this week... argh.

So, over 2 weeks ago I ordered 18 BGs from cottonbabies on a clearance they were having.... So excited to get them in the mail to find out that we only received 9, half the order, their mistake. Wouldn't be so bad, but I had sunned and had listed the Flips we had so I didn't want to use them, been going on 9 diapers for about a week now.... I emailed them and called, trying to be patient b/c I knew New Years prob had everything behind schedule... and I still haven't received them. I called them yesterday when I found out they still hadn't shipped for them to tell me they wouldn't do expedited shipping! I was so mad.. it was their mistake, not mine! Oh well, they shipped it today and I have to wait an additional 5-7 business days. Overall very disappointed with cottonbabies customer service.

Secondly, from the rec I got from you guys I ordered a bottle of bac-out spray from amazon and waited patiently on it for a few days (should have been here yesterday) and received it today.... and it's empty!!! Completely empty. SO frustrated... Angry

  • Oh man that sucks :(. I'm sorry. If it makes you feel any better, my orders from CB have usually come pretty fast so hopefully they will come soon.

  • I'm so sorry about the issues with your recent order from Cotton Babies. We apologize for the slow shipping, it was due to the holidays. Did the person you spoke with give you a reason why they weren't willing to do expedited shipping?

    I wrote that last night when I was frustrated after receiving the empty bottle in the mail. I made some mistakes in the post... it's not been quite 2 weeks, ordered on 12-26-11. Once I received an email saying they were going to fulfill the rest of my order, I asked if I could change the colors of diapers I ordered originally, and Dede (I think) emailed me back and said it had already been fulfilled and couldn't happen, which is okay I just realized I liked the striped ones better than I thought I would have, then received an email a full 24 hours later saying that it had just been fulfilled and would be shipping soon. I didn't mind if they couldn't change the colors, but she had told me that it was already fulfilled so I assumed it would be shipping that day... well, received an email the next day saying it had just been fulfilled and was ready to ship soon. I called and left a very detailed voicemail at extension 216 (I think, it was on my order form) pleading for expedited shipping as I only had 9 diapers that I was using, left my email and phone number and asked for a return call, but didn't receive it.

    Cottonbabies diapers are great, the sale I got was wonderful so no complaints there, its just hard to go on 9 diapers, having to supplement with disposables... I just assumed since it was their mistake they would have apologized for a mistake over $100 or rushed shipping to me... overall, not that big of a deal, I'll still shop there when needed.

     I had the exact same problem with the Bac Out that I ordered from Amazon. Except that it decided to leak as the UPS guy was dropping it off so it soaked al my other boxes and my entire floor. I can vouch for the good smell though. My house smelled like limes for days.

    I returned the empty bottle (in the damaged box) and got my money back. I was also lucky enough to find it somewhere else for FIVE dollars cheaper than I paid on Amazon so it turned out to be a win/win for me.

    Sorry that happened though. I know it is a drag.

  • CottonBabies usually has fantastic customer service and quick shipping. I'm surprised. Sorry you had a hard time. I'd just use your Flips- it's certainly easier to use them and rewash (which you'll be doing anyway) than keep using sposies.

  • Some days suck, and then seem to suck some more.  Sorry you have a week of it.

    On the plus side, Hadley looks adorable.  She is growing up so fast!

  •  I completely understand your frustration and apologize for the mistakes that were made, and that your phone call was not returned. If you dealt with De-De over email, she would have created the RMA for the 9 missing diapers and sent it over to the Returns department. The Returns department is who actually places the RMA in fulfillment. When De-De said that it was already in fulfillment, she most likely meant that it was already sent to the Returns department to be placed in fulfillment, and she was no longer able to access it. I apologize for the confusion with this situation.

     Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to rectify this situation.
