Baby pooping more frequently after starting solids

DD has been pooping more frequently now that she has 2 solids meals a day, she is going 5-6 times a day, some big some little. Has anyone else experienced this? A few sites I googled said baby should go less frequently once they start solids. Thanks!

My LO pooped only once every 3-4 days before solids. Now he goes 3 times a day. Its makes sense i guess. BM and formula are made for babies. There is a lot of left overs, so to speak, with soild foods. When we started solids it took awhile for his tummy to get used to it, so he was going less often for about a month after we started soilds.

Oh I wish my poor DD was going that often. When I increased her from one to two meals a day (solids) she didn't poop for nine days. It was horrible. After eating prunes for three days straight she finally passed a huge man poop (sorry for TMI). I felt awful for her as she cried, it had to have hurt. I think it was peas that stopped her up. But I'm going to continue the prunes every other day just to make sure it doesn't happen again.

I don't think there is any harm in your DD pooping more frequently, especially if you are feeding fiber-rich foods.

My DD is also BF. I don't know if FF vs. BF makes a difference.

My baby poops more often now that she's on solids, but her poops seem to be smaller so it's evening out I think! As long as she seems happy and comfortable and I don't see anything weird in it, I don't worry about her poop.
