OMG, LO is so mercurial right now. And anytime something doesn't go his way he screws up his little face and squeezes his eyes shut and screams. It is usually paired with back arching, head throwing back and stiffening his legs. He has literally done this all day long today. I picked him up - fit. I put him down - fit. I gave him a toy - fit. I took away a toy - fit. I gave him yogurt - fit. I gave him puffs - fit. His poor little voice is so hoarse because he's been crying all day long.
The only thing that doesn't get a fit is boob, so the week before I was planning to wean from the pump, I have been bfing to beat the band, so I'm sure my supply is doing just great. And even though it doesn't cause a fit, it is still a struggle.
I would have more patience if he wasn't waking up every two hours long all night for the past three nights, and if DH wasn't sick as a dog today, and not much use in helping to mollify LO.
I think we're going back to the pedi tomorrow morning--he is still poking at his ear, even though this is the third day of amoxicillin.
Re: Please tell me this is because he's sick, not because he's turning one
You don't want my answer.
H has been like this for a couple weeks now. Screaming, crying, red face etc. but she does the stiff arms rather than the stiff legs.
I feel like H got the terrible twos at 1 year! Ugh.
amoxycillin did not work for DD, in fact, she was allergic to it! the 2nd anti-biotic did not work, but the 3rd one did. That was a rough period, 2-3 weeks I think.
As for tantrums, DD had her 1st "terrible 2s" one at age 10 months!
I hope babysaint is better soon!!
