Can you tell me please how often they come, and how much they charge.
I know this gets asked all the time, sorry, but I'm thinking about getting someone so I need a ballpark number. Do you think the service-type is worth the extra money (Molly Maid, etc.)?
Re: If you have a cleaning lady...
no advice - but i think the service would be totally worth it.

I wasn't happy when I used the service. We use an independent lady and she does an awesome job. $75, every other week. I straighten up before she comes, and she just does the heavy cleaning- bathrooms, floors, dusting, baseboards, etc. She does not do laundry or windows.
We use Molly Maids. We've tried a few and they are the best service so far. They come twice/month and it's around $125. We have them clean everything but the office...around 2000 sq. ft. It's so worth it for me. I'll give up quite a bit before I give them up.
You take my ovaries, I take your yarns.
Merry Maid is expensive! I have 3200 square feet-4 bed/3 bath home. They make you do an initial "deep" cleaning and they quoted me 500 dollars for that ONE time. Then after that they wanted 150 or 160 week for weekly and 200 for biweekly.
I have a lady come every week for $70.00-I do my own laundry.
I take that back. We just refinished the basement which is a playroom, bedroom, and one bath. The 70 bucks is upstairs which is three bedrooms (on being the guest and never used) and two baths. She was charging me 70 dollars for that.
She told me with the additional space downstairs she would charge me 85 one week when she just vaccumes the hardwoods downstairs and 100 the next when she also polishes the floors.
