anyone use the infant see program?

my pedi told me about the infant see program where they check infants from 6-12m eyes for free, something like that. there is a list of providers but i'm wondering if anyone did this? and was it worth it? i know dd can see cause she'll reach for toys we are holding/follow things with her eyes- is there more they can check for? finally, if you did this please rec (good or bad) the eye doc you used. thanks!
