Activities for Stay Home pregnant moms

Hi everyone  - It is great to join the bump and have access to such a wonderful resource. I am a almost 12 weeks and a stay home mom-to-be. So I am really interested to see if there are any activities in Cambridge/ Boston area for people like myself during the day like yoga classes, support group, book clubs...if not, is there anyone out there who would be interested to help organize a support group with exciting activities for stay-home mom-2-Bs to keep them excited and motivated?! Please let me know. Thanks! -mo

  • Check out ISIS, I think they have yoga and massage, also if you did a search for pre-natal yoga in Boston I'm sure you'd get more. Not sure about any other activities. I'm currently out on leave due to a high-risk twin pregnancy. I learned how to crochet, which has been calming to me.

  • There is a ton to do in Cambridge! The Cambridge Public Library has sing alongs and story times that are great and free. They usually run at 10 for smaller babies and 11 for the older ones. I have been bringing DS to the 11 sing along on Mon. and Wed. since he was 4 months old, and he loves it. Also, there is story time at the Coop in Harvard Square every Tuesday at 11 for free. I did a Great Beginnings group at Isis, and I thought it was amazing. There is also a free new moms support group through JFCS in Cambridge on Wednesdays from 9:30 until 11:00. It is pretty casual so you can drop in for as much or as little works. There are a ton of playgrounds in Cambridge for when the weather is nice too.
