After Ruby it was our second pick and if we have another girl down the line that'll be her name.
It's normal, spelled right, recognizable, common but not used much anymore. Also ages very well.
I'm a fan. I love the Aimee spelling too but Babynames blasted me for that months ago (and it is a legit spelling). I'd probably stick with Amy though just for ease in her lifetime.
I like it!! My cousin's name is Aimee, and I think it's a neat way to spell it. Though, I will say if I didn't have a family member named Aimee I would first think it was a youneek spelling...but that would be out of ignorance, not any fault on the person naming the child!

It's nice enough. Not something I would use, but there's nothing wrong with it.
This. I know SO many Amy's, though. Granted, only one is a kiddo, but still. For that reason, it feels boring to me.

I love this spelling of Aimee! As long as you pronounce it Amy. I went to college with an Aimee who insisted we call her Ah-may (eye roll) It was her quirk, her mother and sister didn't pronounce it that way, just her.

She may have to correct people on spelling but it is a legit spelling. DD has a classmate whose name is spelled "Amie" which gets confused with DD's naem "Annie" so I have to side-eye that spelling.

FTR, I'm Aimee pronounced Amy. I agree with you on that french pronunciation mess. And the accent mark can be a little much too.
Well beings that we were in Europe when she was concieved and I wanted something to represent that in whatever name we chose it happened to be the spelling for this one.

I like it, though I prefer the Amy spelling.
Also, Amy Ray is one of the Indigo Girls. I don't think I'd let that dissuade me from using the name, but wanted to point it out.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, Amy.

That's my name! Well, the Aimee part.
Great choice!
Aimee - like, Rae - dislike.
I would prefer Aimee Renee. Congrats on picking!

PAL/PGAL Welcome
a mother always has to think twice, once for herself & once for her child...
Aimee was on my short list so I love it but not a fan of rae. I much prefer the French spelling Aimee over Amy. GL!
We were thinking of Brooke, Paige and Susannah as mn's.
Agree!!
True, its a legit French spelling. I just prefer Amy! Its a nice enough name.
