I don't say birthday anywhere on the invite, do you think I should include it? Does a party from 1-4 sound okay with just serving cake and ice cream? Your thoughts on the invite ? I will be changing out the photos when we have another shoot in early December with her. I want to get these designed so I won't have to worry about this later.
Re: Need opionins: Katie's B-day Invite
That is cute! I don't think you need to mention 'birthday' in there anywhere since you say 'Katie if finally turning one'.
Cake and ice cream is definitely fine for a mid afternoon party. Maybe just serve a few little snacks if you think people might want it, but it's always good to keep it simple!

Maybe you could say, "some frosty birthday fun"
I think it's cute as is, though. I would have some other snacks, including, if it's not too much trouble, some warm ones. You can get some mini quiches or little pretzel bites in bulk at Sam's. They are very easy to cook.
I don't think it needs to say "birthday" anywhere, because you get your point across by saying "Katie is turning One".
I like the wording and I think the design is really cute! On Justin's invitations, I didn't specify an ending time. 1-4 sounds fine, I have heard a lot of moms on the toddler board say they give a 2-hour window for a party. That part's up to you. Nice job!

I think it's super cute!! I don't think it needs to say birthday - it clearly says she's turning one
And, I think cake and icecream is fine for 1-4 since it's between lunch and dinner. Although - I might put out some chips and nuts or something a little snacky since not everone likes sweet stuff but I don't think there is any need to specify that on the invite.
I think it will be a great party!

I will be serving some snacks- chips and pretzels for some munchies and also having a Hot Chocolate bar for some warm winter drinks.
Thanks ladies! I am so stressed about this invite and I don't know why since we have 2 months left.....
Katie: 1/16/08 2lbs. 15oz.
Abby & Emily: 12/31/10 6lbs. 2oz. & 5lbs. 7oz.
cute invites. I don't think you need the word bday since it says katie is turning one although I did like Pinklu suggestion.
I think the time sounds fine.
no, i don't think you need to mention it's her birthday, but here was our wording which is similar to yours and mentioned birthday (butterfly theme):
ava caroline is turning one
flutter over for some birthday fun!
if you want to mention birthday, you could do it like ours, but i think frosty fun sounds cute for your theme.
our party started at 3 p.m. because ava naps around 12-2. you might want to schedule it around whenever she takes her nap (which could be a bit different a couple months from now... at 9 mos. ava was taking a morning nap starting around 10:30-11 and then a later afternoon nap, but around 11.5 mos. she dropped to one nap and started napping around noon). a 1 p.m. party would have been disasterous for us.
p.s. we also just specified the start time like pp's mentioned. here is our complete wording (sorry about all the huge spaces the nest is making):
ava caroline is turning one
flutter over for some birthday fun!
