I just found out that I'm pregnant with my second baby. Our first LO had reflux, colic and had to be on Nutrimagen. Did any of you have a first child with the same kind of issues, and if so did your second LO have the same?
With my DD she had reflux and required Zantac until 13 months old. She never required special formula though and was on Good Start Gentle.
My DS is whole other ball game! He has a milk/protein allergy and severe reflux. He was born 5 weeks early and had a host of problems at birth (see siggy if interested). He is on Zantac 3xs a day, was on multiple other meds but they weren't working. He sees a GI specialist, has been hospitalized since getting out of the NICU, and now at 3 months we are dealing with weight gain issues (he just made it to 10lbs even on Tuesday at 14 weeks). He's on a super special formula called Neocate which is $42 for a 14oz can.
For us our 2nd was WAY worse than our 1st, but I'm not sure if that has to do with him being a preemie too. I would try your LO#2 of regular formula and be aware of signs of an intolerance. If you see it, don't hesitate to switch to the Nutramigen...
DD1 was a happy spitter- never required meds or special formula. DD2 has spit up *maybe* 5 times in her life thus far. Like McRib said, I'd start with regular formula and see what happens.

My first child is the absolute picture of health. Never went to the pedi except for well child checks for the first 18 months of his life.
It was my second who had reflux/MSPI/chronic ear infections. We spent the first 4 months of her life in and out of specialists' offices.
