DS has the sickies

Reed's 1st Sickness. Not exactly a fun 1st!

He's had a cold since Monday and it's not getting worse, but it's at the stage now where he's got a LOT of drainage and it's making him choke and then throw up. So fun.  He hasn't been running a fever. Basically, he's had a cough and now the drainage pukes.

Anyway, this is what really sucks about being a working mama! I work on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. DS goes to my inlaw's on those days and my MIL watches him. I did not go to work Tuesday and stayed home with him. I talked to my MIL tonight and she said that she is willing to watch him tomorrow even if he's sick, but she also called to let me know that she is getting a cough and thinks she is probably getting whatever DS has. Uggg! Do I call into work again tomorrow? I hate the thought of missing so much work, and I know my co-workers will be annoyed since it's a small office so it is really tough even when one person is out. DH can't really miss work either although he did say something about possibly taking a half day if he needed to.

Reed is asleep in his bouncy seat now and he keeps waking up from coughing and I'm scared that he's going to choke and throw up in his sleep. So now I'm "Creepy Mom" and just watching him sleep. 

This should be a fun night.

LOL creepy mom. Funny. That sucks about him being sick though. Could you and DH split the day? Like you take first half, he takes second or something?

Knowing my office drowns when I'm out, I would go to work and leave him with MIL and ask DH to take a half day. Try to get MIL's half to be the one where he sleeps longer.

Yeah we will probably have to do this.

I just hate the thought of having to leave him when he's sick.

Aw poor LO.    I love "creepy mom".   I have been that many, many times.  I say go to work and have MIL watch him.  Take a 1/2 day if he is super fussy and MIL needs your assistance.
