I'm pretty annoyed. The tip of my right middle finger is completely numb. It goes down to the middle of the finger itself. And I have reduced sensation in the pointer finger on that hand. I know it's only due to the increased pressure from the swelling, but it's really a pain in the butt. I'm a massage therapist. The sensitivity of my fingers is part of what makes me good at my job.
Unfortunately, I know that the only way to make it go away is to have this baby. So, mostly, I'm just grumbling about it. (At least it's only those two fingers, not the whole hand).
Re: Numbness
your a mass. therapist.. Massage your arm and hand to see if it helps?
My mom is an MT too, I was having a similar issue a couple weeks ago and she fiddled with my upper arm, underarm, etc... you know, the line for your ulnar nerve? Fixed it right up. Granted the ulnar nerve doesnt usually effect the fingers you said are numb, it might help a little? She also really worked on my wrist and I could literally feel the changes occuring in my pointer finger.
