Best place for schools info

Where is the best place to get school grades etc to help figure out where the best schools are? I googled and there are all sorts of sites but some don't make any sense to me at all.

I've generally relied on greatschools dot com. It's imperfect, because scores can be misleading and don't always reflect parental involvement, etc., but it's something.
