Does anyone know if Crystal Light is ok to drink? I cannot drink plain water so i've been putting in the packets (not the whole packet) so I can drink more water.
If I am not mistaken, Crystal Light is made with aspartame. At the very least, I would limit the amount that you consume (which it sounds like you already do).
I drink the walmart generic kind - up to three packets a day (6 glasses of water) - the cherry flavor is the best. Some days less. It's the only way I will drink water - I don't like lemon, lime or cucumber in my water either. If I don't use it, I will not drink water, if I'm not drinking water I'm usually drinking pepsi. For me I've decided drinking water is the most important factor so I'm going to keep drinking the powder stuff.

This is me. I drink some plain water, but usually drink it fast and not for enjoyment. I probably use 3 packets a day, but since I don't like it concentrated, 3 packets makes 6 bottles of water.

Aspartame: (Equal or NutraSweet) Aspartame is not effective in heat nor for long periods in liquid form. It is often found as an additive to soft drinks, gelatin, desserts, pudding mixes, breakfast cereals, beverages, chewing gum, dairy products, and other foods and drugs. According to the Food and Drug Administration(FDA), Aspartame is safe for use during pregnancy and lactation. It is recommended to limit consumption to a moderate level.Aspartame should not be used by anyone with PKU (a rare metabolic disorder), rare liver disease, or by pregnant women who have high levels of phenylalanine in their blood. Phenylalanine is a component of aspartame, and it may not metabolize correctly in anyone who has these conditions.
I've heard some ladies say to try Crystal light pure. It doesn't have artificial sweeteners. Here are the flavors, not sure if it's totally available everywhere though.
Like pp said, I've really been enjoying cucumber water and lemon water/lime water. I've been experimenting with putting all sorts of fruits and veggies in water for flavor (some more successful than others) lol I've been not drinking anything with artifical sweeteners in it period. I've cut down all soda to Sierra Mist which I only drink when I'm desperate for something different. That's just me though, a lot of women drink Crystal Light and Diet soda. Good luck!
Is there anything similar that uses real sugar? I am trying to stay away from aspartame. I bet Whole Foods or Trader Joe's has a healthier version.
it's not really like crystal light BUT for my last 2 successful pregnancies I was in the same rut w/ out being able to drink water so I bought tang. I only used a little 'cause normally I hate that stuff but just a sprinkle really helps to flavor and sweeten the water. This time around I'm doing 1/2 gatorade and 1/2 water mixed together.

I go for the CL Pure when I can't drink plain water. I've seen it in Walmart and Kroger.
