    Their birthdays are Memorial Day weekend, so we were going to do a cookout/bonfire on that Sunday. He'll be asleep for the bonfire part of course, but the baby monitor reaches out to the firepit, so no worries :) Oh, and other than doing the grilled food and cake, it's going to be potluck. I'm cheap and lazy. Hah!

    We aren't doing a theme or anything though. Well, red/white/blue stuff will probably be on sale, so I guess that can be his theme! My mom already asked if she can make her secret chocolate cake recipe for Z's smash cake, which I was going to make anyways so I gave her the ok for it.

    Do you have any ideas yet? It's still pretty far away, but I love that it's generally going to fall on Memorial day weekend. Makes planning easier I think.

    I am thinking of doing it Memorial Day too.. Probably also on Sunday.  Who knows the weather but we will have our pool open and do some bbq/sub sandwich thing.  That's about all I got.

    I'm glad to hear that someone else isn't going all out for the 1st birthday :)

    Nope.. I just want to have a party. ;) I like throwing parties but I'm more into food than decorating.  It will probably have more people at it than I want,because of the largeness of my husband's family but I'm going to try my hardest to keep it as small as I can.  A bonfire is a good idea.  I really hope the weather is great that weekend.
