my son needs his naps. he'll never admit it or go willingly, but he needs a good 2 hours in the AM and 1-1.5 in the PM. you need to put him down for his naps, he won't fall asleep in the walker, or sleep on the sofa next to you. you can't rock him. he needs to fuss for about 10 min and then he'll pass out for a good nap.
DH has a busy 2 weeks at work so FIL is watching him. one day and his schedule is already in the shitter. b.c he only took a 30 min nap in the AM and another 30 min nap in the PM he was overtired at night and slept terribly! up every hour after 3 AM.
FIL means well, but we've told him time and time again that J needs his naps. i've given him instructions every way i know how. so frustruated...
Re: naps are NOT optional- a FIL related vent
This is what we try to do, but it usually falls on me anyway.
DH has, but FIL is one of those "i know how to do this" FILs.
