NSAIFR: how to get smell out of leather couch?

Ugh....i want to vomit.  I am not sure what she rolled in, but our dog reeks and now the couch she lays on smells, too.  It's leather.  I have tried febreeze.  I could try airing it out, but it's in the only in the low 20's today.  I also cleaned it with pledge, but the smell is still there.  My living room smells so bad but the source of the smell is definitely one spot on the couch.  I cannot remove the cushion to put it outside, it's attached to the couch.   Of course my husband doesn't smell a thing.  What can I use?  Please help :(

Haha! Sorry, didn't mean to offend lol. Where can I buy that? So far I've tried pledge, vinegar, method odor disinfectant, and febreeze air freshener. Going to the store today to get baking soda. I found the culprit-throw up on the side of the couch. Who knows if it was a pet or a baby. Omg I feel like I'm failing as a homemaker. We can't keep up with work, parenting and the household chores.

  • I'm not sure...we don't have much leather, so I can't say that I've ever looked for it, I just have heard of it as something to clean leather with.

And I feel your pain about the house.  Its one of my major new years resolutions...I don't need the house to be spotless, but I do need to be much less lazy and have it not be revolting, like it often is now :(  Its so freaking hard to do it all!  I collapse on the couch after I put him to bed...and then its hard to get back up and get some things done :(

  • We use an enzymatic cleaner concentrate (https://www.gotpee.net/), but you can also try the ones sold in pet stores (Nature's Miracle is one).  I would spot test first on leather, but it is the best way to get puke/poop/pee/sweat smells out.
