Would love to hear what going on with your 6month olds.

ours are blabbing up a storm and rolling over- we moved them in to their own cribs in their own room and they can no longer be swaddled because they roll over so much but this makes for not great sleepers. We were doing rock n plays but L decided to roll over while swaddled in her RNP and well THAT SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF MOMS!!!!

They are on some solids - rice cereal  at 11am and veggies at 5pm we make our own and they are hip to the babywise schedule ( eat every 3 hours)  and sleep through the night  from 11pm till 8am. They are drinking 4-6 oz a feeding they are getting Breast milk and some formula ( not making enough for two despite all my efforts)

 They are petite girls ... just barely grew out of their 3M clothes and now in 3-6.

so just wanna know where everyone else is at or what you experienced at 6months.

I barely remember what six months was like. ;-)  I suppose we had just started solids.  We didn't do cereal, but she did get some purees.  Then we just went wtih BLW and she ate what I was eating.  We were still nursing a lot and I think she was sleeping through the night.  Or perhaps she was still getting up at around 11pm to nurse.  I really don't recall...

I think they were on two "meals" a day (cereal/purees) - they didn't go to 3 meals a day till 9m. I know they were each still waking multiple times during the night to eat/cry (oh, the sleep deprivation.) And they were rolling back to front - but would get stuck on their tummy. They started to sit unassisted about 6-7m.

6 months looked pretty different for our two.

Eli was solidly in 6-9 months clothing and even the occasionally 9-12 mo. He started solids a couple days after hitting 6 months and was doing one solid meal a day for the first month or month and a half. He was almost crawling and definitely scooting every where. Sleep--hah! he was working on his first tooth (didn't pop until he was 7.5 months or so) and he was up several times a night--yay for cosleeping

Lex was still wearing 0-3 and a little bit of newborn clothes. In fact, at almost 8 months she is just starting to wear some 3-6. We started solids almost a week before she hit 6 months and quickly moved her to 3 meals a day (by 6.5 months if not earlier). She eats everything now and is much more agile than Eli was with the finger foods.  She was very mobile but not crawling. She wakes probably once a night to nurse--she was so tiny that we didn't have the doc's ok for her to sleep through the night until 7 months. She had two teeth at 6 months--now she is up to four.

Sounds like the twins are right on track and doing great! Congrats on making it through the first 6 months. My personally opinion is that as much as the snuggly newborn phase is wonderful, babies get way way more fun around 6 months as they get more interactive and independent

Ours are a month behind yours, so take it for what that's worth

They get up at least once, sometimes 3 times to eat overnight. Neither is rolling yet, and we are no where near ready for solids (they were only a month early, but one is a little delayed so we're not starting for at least  another month). They're freaking cute though

Our bigger girl is starting to outgrow 3 mo and fits nicely in 3-6. The little bitty is still solidly in 3 mo, but will be wearing some baggies soon since I can't be bother will two full sizes sitting around

2brides- i'm sleeping worse now that we moved them in to their nursery ... UGGG

Nelson...amazing how diff each child is even ones born at the same time its amazing and i think 6 mo is fun too ... but goes way too fast

Cookie- i hear you about the clothes today I dressed S in stuff just because it was killing me that it was never worn and Sloan looked liek a lil sausage.

I hear ya. Once he stopped coming into our room and we stopped using the monitor, I slept horribly for a long time. And like you, L NEVER hears the kids - so I wake at every sneeze/cough/etc. You will sleep through the night again sometime...
