I guess I better find a pediatrician? Any recs? I'm big on friendly nurses and a doctor that doesn't make me feel rushed. I'm in Pville so north preferably.
We saw Dr. Harvey at ARC in RR, before we moved to the DFW area. She always answered my questions without feeling rushed. The nurses were very friendly as well. She was recommended on this board and my BIL's kids see her.

This is who we see as well, and we Looooooove her! She's awesome, and we love the office. I can call and speak to a nurse immediately, no calling back and it's free. She doesn't always have the same nurse, but all I've seen (and the last few well checks have all been the same) are very very nice, very patient, and very very sympathetic when they give shots. She's a family friend, and my 2 cousins who live here see her as well. She really does take a lot of time, has lots of great suggestions, doesn't push bfing or formula feeding, she supports you either way.
I have always been able to get an appt the same day when DS has been sick (though not always with her) and I've loved all the pedis we've seen there. Dr (Kristie) Harvey wasn't on rotation to come to the hospital when DS was born, but I loved the pedi that came and checked on DS.
And I have to say, I went there to get my foot stitched up instead of going to the ER, and they were FANTASTIC. I was seen right away (on a Saturday) and was in and out with stitches in my foot in under 2 hours. They get an A+ all around in my book!
We (along with many of our friends) go to Tree House Pediatrics off Great Oaks and 620. We see Dr. Travis and absolutely love him. I was just telling my husband how happy I have been with that decision- he never makes you feel rushed and is so sweet with H. Couldn't be happier! Plus I've needed a handful of same day appointments and it's never been a problem- the one time he wasn't there I got in with a pedi board certified RN. Bonus if you are delivering at NAMC, they do rounds there.
