Sorry I haven't posted on this board too often. I am getting really excited as this is my first. She is doing really well. When we first found out we were having a baby, we were so shocked and then found out that we were at risk of losing her because I had a deficiency in Factor 5...well, now that is not an issue. The drugs have been working their magic and she is measuring two weeks ahead and looks to be a very big baby girl! I have undergone 3 separate GD tests and all have come back negative. She is very healthy and I can't wait til she gets here. Not sure if she is going to be induced early or if I am going to have to have a C/S or not. Doctors are waiting for the last U/S in two weeks to decide what they want to do depending on her growth!
With that said I just wanted to share the excitement and wondering if anyone else on this site is pregnant with their first and what their experience has been like so far. I am going to be delivering at Overlake, where I hear they are great! Our childbirth class is this weekend and we are so excited...
Re: Getting closer!!!
I know, it's so crazy! It's going to be a HUGE change and not being at work for 3 months is going to be very weird! I am so happy that I am going to be able to take off 12 weeks!!! But then I know that coming back to work is going to be so hard!

My fiance is taking off a month of work and then he is going to take some more time off when I go back to work so that I can transition better...knowing that she is with him...the hard part is going to be when she has to be in someone else's care for the two days a week he is at work...my mom is going to take her for one day, which I am perfectly happy with, but we are still trying to figure out who can watch her the other day...anyone know of a good nanny in the area???
Baby girl due in two weeks, so could be any day now...Wow! Sharing your joyful anticipation for first child and big changes ahead. Wishes for healthy and happy finale.
Exciting! 12 weeks is a GREAT maternity leave, but it does fly by.
Where are you looking for care? I found a great nanny from care.com. It took a lot of interviews but we found a couple we trusted and one we loved. But..she ended up adopting a special needs child and we transitioned to an in-home daycare. We are now in a daycare center we love and trust in the Duvall area - she is amazing. I drive from Woodinville just for her.
