Need book recommendations!

One of my goals for 2012 is to start reading again. I love reading and read all the time before having kids and want to get in that habit again (vs. watching crap on TV and playing around online after the kiddos go to sleep). What are the best books you've read this year?

Re: Need book recommendations!

  • There were a lot of good books I got to read last year. Let's see, Hunger Games trilogy, The Help, The Thirteenth Tale and Outlander Series were probably my favs.

  • The Help was hands down the best book I read last year.

  • There's a link in my sig- I only review the ones I like. Hard to pick a favorite, though. My fetus is eating my brain.

Needing to review: the latest Stephanie plum (explosive 18) and the invention of Hugo cabret. Both excellent.

  • Ditto the Hunger Games Trilogy. Loved those.

I also liked Recovery Road. It's a short easy read and was the first book I had read since having Winter. It was good for easing me back into reading, as I was feeling pretty brain dead for the better part of the last 3 years.

  • The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. It's nonfiction but it reads like fiction and it's so interesting! I couldn't recommend it more!

    I loved this book!

Also read the Hunger Games trilogy, loved it. the Help was great, also. Other than that, just random fiction fluff here and there, nothing exciting enough for me to talk about!
