When to move both kids into the same room

Need some pointers and warnings from those who have gone before. I have a 20 month old that I would like to transition to his twin size bed around 24 months and transition our DD into the crib in the same room with him.  WOuld you suggest transition DS into the twin and overcome that adjustment before moving DD into the room as well, or should we just do both at the same time?  DD will be about 6 monhs old and DS will be 24 months

I thought about this. I would do the twin bed adjustment first. THEN, later, the crib thing. You don't want a crib to tempt your DS out of his bed. Let him get used to being ALLOWED to roam free, so that when your DD joins him in that room, he might be "over" getting out of bed.
