The ultimate pretentious parents?

Ethan got invited to the birthday party of one of his classmates. They weren't in the same class last year, so I don't know this child or his parents at all. The invite said the party was at "William Smith Caterers." I was absolutely appalled that people would have a 4 year old's party at a catering place and was all up in arms about how out of control the birthday party circuit had gotten.

Until I just realized that his dad is William Smith.  Embarrassed

(Alec's still asleep btw, so I'm still here, despite earlier claims I was going to be productive.)

Re: The ultimate pretentious parents?

  • LOL!  When I read this just now, I still had the last post about Mariah Carey in my head, and until I read it twice, I automatically assumed your son was invited to the birthday party of the son of the Fresh Prince (aka Will Smith)! :o
  • My first thought was "they probably know someone there who can get them a cheap rate."

    hahaha.

  • LOL Josey. Yes, my kids only associate with famous kids. We have a playdate with Suri at 4...

William Smith is a madeup name, btw.

Oh, and I think I hear Mr. A. Time to go?

  • Sorry!  I'm still pissed that the most famous person I've ever seen is Dwight Yokim.  And he was drunk off his ass, too.  Such a rip off!
