I LOVED our garage like that PAGAS. I can still remember the clicky sound of the car elevator.
One of my toys will actually be used by my kid(s). Safety changes be damned...this one isn't dangerous, and it was my absolute favorite:
For many years it lived at my grandmothers for the grandkids to play with (I am the oldest of 15), but I rescued it 4 years ago after my uncle's twin boys were getting old enough to play with it.
There is apparently a new version of the cookie monster piano, but it is Lame-O. It has fewer keys, and talks instead of plays music. I sounded out all sorts of songs on mine!
don't know what safety issue they had with this, but both me and Matt had it and didn't kill or maim ourselves. It's the fisher price barn, it was Matt's as a kid.
Here's one I will get new (although my mom still has my old one to keep at their house). It's the Tupperware Shape-O Toy Ball
this is a great toy! i had one way forever- long after i was done playing with it, it was still around at my grandmother's house. i would love to get one for the new baby!
My mom still has the old Fisher Price Ferris Wheel and Merry Go Round that I used to play with (I found these pics on ebay) these are Sarah's absolute FAVORITE toys to play with at my moms. She just loves the little people.
Don't worry, my mom is a clean freak and did clean all parts with bleach before letting her go at it.
This is seriously Rena's favorite toy. My mom was so excited when she saw it since my sister and I had one. You can't beat a $5 toy that entertains them for a long time!

and at 21 months, truitt *still* finds use for it. certainly not as intended, but we're getting every fraction of a penny out of it!
Someone bought this for Jacob, it's put up in the closet for now.
We also have the phone, ring stacker, and bubble popper.
Do they still sell these? This was my FAVORITE when I was little.
My grandmother still has the one that was ours when we were little. Every grandkid and great grandkid has played with it since then, and it still works!
Re: Poll: multi-generational toys =)
It is a bit different style wise, but the same idea (rocking the car elevator!)
So Tasty, So Yummy

apparently most of us were fisher-price kids. it's amazing how long their toys last. I can't say we were careful with them either.

Oh yeah, Fisher Price ring stacker!
Sadly there probably won't be many - coming from a childhood full of metal Tonka Trucks, cap guns and lawn darts...
