I saw that you had a BV at 24w .... that is what I got put on Bedrest for yesterday (I am 30w1-2d). What did your Dr's say to you about it? Basically, I left in a whirlwind, but I know it can cause PTL - which is why I am on MBR. I have a FU appt on Friday, so I will know then. I just wondered what your experience was.
Re: JGirl2005
I wondered how far along you were - I knew you were a January mommy though.
When they found I had BV they said nothing about bedrest -funny how drs are. I guess I was fine though because I'm on self imposed bed rest anyway and when I got it I lied much lower than I am now as I didn't want to risk infection. I took my antibiotics and I"m crossing my fingers that it cleared up. I never had discharge and still have not from it. If I have cramping I would go in immediately as I think my cramping were contractions. I go in next Monday for my 4 week normal obgyn follow up and I'm sure i'll be tested again - at least for anythign weird in my urine. I'm hoping I'm in the clear. Are you on antibiotics?
I was having cramping which is why I got checked out for BV. Haven't had any since, except for sporadic bh contx. fun fun fun
I have no idea if the antibiotics worked to clear up my BV and my UTI, but I hope they did. They didn't sound concerned but I didn't see my obgyn just the nurse practioner. I told my peri's office and they were useless and no help. I asked them if BV is serious enough to worry about and they just said 'well you could worry, if you wanted to'.
Ok, sorry to ramble. I know BV can cause contractions but I think as long as I don't feel burning, discharge, or cramping I am in the clear. I don't want to chance PTL.
