I had a pretty normal pregnancy until 26 weeks, wherein I was diagonosed with GD. I've been a good girl, following the doctor's orders for watching my blood sugar, testing four times a day, following this lovely strict diet. She was EXTREMELY concerned for my well being, double/triple checking my blood pressure readings and checking for other issues that could be involved (pre-eclampsia is a possibility with GD).
All of a sudden, the last two weeks of my life have been miserable with this pregnancy. I had that ambulance/ER visit on Friday; very high blood pressure; severe migraines;major swelling in my feet, face, and hands; sinus infections, etc. All of a sudden, I feel like I've been brushed to the side because I've called in so much over the last two weeks. She is continually "out of the office" so I'm stuck waiting for more follow up or talking to the nurses in her office. Also, my last OB appointment on Friday (right before my visit to the ER that night) she said that she was pushing off the ultrasound until the third week in January and that I might not deliver now until the last week in January even though for the last two months that has NOT been the story (ultrasound was supposed to be early next week).
Ugh...I'm so confused. I really, really like her...but I guess I'm a little concerned with her lack of caring the last two weeks--especially with all these issues that have come up. Ok...done complaining for today...
