2 questions actually...
Why is this child NEVER wearing a coat or tights? it's cold...they are in NY. Who ever is with her always has at least a sweater.
Is she ever allowed to be comfortable? I love her dresses, and she always looks so pretty. But some days my dd just wants to wear jeans. As do her parents, since they always have them on.

The first one, can't say.
The second one, Cam HATES jeans/pants. HATES them. Fights me, screams, cries "They don't fit" if I try to put them on her. She wears leggings --- or leggings with skirts/dresses. That's it. My niece also went through a phase where she would not wear pants -- she wanted dresses all the time.
Wow...my typing sucks.
Leggings...even more comfy. And there are plenty of them out there that cost as much as those dang dresses. I think I just envy her wardrobe.
I don't know when they are in NY. When they are in CA, she doesn't need them. DD never wore tights last year except on Christmas Eve because I wanted her to look dressed up.
As for the dresses, I think the reason dresses are uncomfortable for us at times is because we have to worry about keeping everything covered. Toddler don't care, so it may be just as comfy for her to be in dresses? Just a thought.

2) You only see a few pictures of her. How can you judge that she NEVER wears a coat or that she is NEVER allowed to be comfortable?
I think, it's possible that she's going in and out and they don't fight her on a coat. Maybe she hates tights. I will say I will not fight Jackson on a coat if I know I am going to be running in and out and not playing outside.
Also, when I was Suri's age, I refused to wear anything but dresses. I hated tights (refused to wear them), socks (also refused), etc.
She's probably plenty comfy in a dress. As for warmth, who knows. I tend to think they're catching the pictures going in and out of a building or whatever, and I wouldn't fight J on a coat then either.
1.) I am guilty of this...mainly because we are just running to the car to drop off big sis or pick her up.
2.) I have 2 girls & DD#1 has worn pants maybe twice in 3mo & DD#2 is almost at that same point. They do not want to wear pants..period. They don't get it from me as I NEVER wear dresses...it just is what it is.
