I tossed the packaging a while back, and I'm just wondering what your experiences are with washing a Doodlebear?

Should I give it a quick handwashing first?  Or handwash only?  I'm only worried about the colors bleeding on to other clothes etc.

I just bought DD one for Xmas. You can throw it in the washer the box had said but it also said for best results that it needs to be washed within 48 hrs. DD colored hers on christmas and then I just ran it under the sink water and washed with soap and water.

I tossed my packaging as well, so I just googled it.  It says to put it in a pillowcase and DO NOT put it in the dryer until the marker is out (rewash until it is) or the markings will set.  Tumble dry.

I washed DD about a month after she had it. It had been written on for well past 48 hours. oops. lol   I had to wash it (in a pillowcase) twice before it was marker free. Tumble dry low.  She loved it!!! but we can't find the markers that came with it!!! hahahaha
