I feel kind of dumb asking this, but are there side by side strollers that you can fit infant carseats in and then later on use them without? I only have looked at them very briefly but I have seen a lot of people talk about using 1 for when they are infants and using 1 later. I really don't want to have to buy 2. Thanks in advance
Re: Stroller question
2yrs ago there was not- but now there is, but still few and far between.
The Stroll Air Duo does it - i'd probably own this stroller if about to have twins- looks great.
i think the new bumbleride indie twin does but only certain types of seats (i might be wrong on this one).
and i think maybe 1 more? i don't keep up on it as much now that we are ending our time with strollers soon
but there is nothing as easy as a DSNG frame... and often pushing around a tandem is much easier than a SBS - when shopping, etc... the BJC Select is awesome for this b/c it's frame is a DSNG and also can add seats while infants on full recline, move them around, etc - and use as a single when you only have one child. This is my most used stroller that i own.
yes...
stroll-air
bumbleride indie twin
mountain buggy duo and duet
bugaboo donkey
those are the ones I can think of off hand, and you have to check which carseat they take
Combi Twin Sport Stroller has car seats that can fit in it.

Bumbleride Indie Twin--- the only kind of car seat it will take two of is the Maxi Cosi. Its what we are getting
So easy to push and maneuver. It also holds 2 carry cots but the seats recline far enough back to have a newborn lay in them without a carry cot. I should add that ONLY the 2011 model and newer accommodates 2 car seats. You can get the upper and lower car seat adapter on amazon or Bumblerides site. I found Buy Buy Baby was not aware of this new feature and weren't very helpful. I emailed Bumbleride directly to find out more info.
Our next choice was the Stroll-Air but its not all terrain, and its hard to find a store that carries it to test out.
We went to Buy Buy Baby this weekend to research this. I am honestly heartbroken that the Baby Jogger city mini cannot take 2 car seats. The City Elite is freakin amazing but SO expensive and honestly, we could not see 2 2 year olds in it....
The guy who helped us said that most of the doubles that took 2 car seats were really wide and that most tandems took the car seats. I think we are probably going with the snap and go frame and then the city mini double. I also love the bumbleride but these are all SO expensive... I hate the idea of spending that much on a stroller... sigh....
Our Twin Baby + a Big Girl Blog
And with the delivery trifecra of one twin vaginal, one c-section with general anesthesia for twin B, Spencer and Sidney joined us at 35 weeks exactly on June 18.
we also decided that the double stroller system was too big for our needs. So, I got a frame stroller with car seats and then I could get whatever double stroller I wanted for use when they're a little older.
