New Shoes clicky: Practical Black or Fabulous Red? ETA:PIP

We are getting pictures taken this month and I'm wearing a black dress.  Kate is wearing a red and black sweater with a denim skirt and DH will be wearing denim and a black sweater.  I have a bit of Christmas money and I want to get some new shoes, the question is practical black or fabulous red.  I would love the red with the dress, but I would probably get more use out of the black.  

Thoughts?  I am generally a huge penny pincher when it comes to things like clothes, but I *love* shoes.  Like seriously love them.  I would rather have one nice pair than 2 cheap ones.

I'm a special snowflake (where did the term come from anyway?)  I say go with a black shoe that you can get more wear out of and amp up the jewelry, like a colorful necklace, bracelet or earrings.

I wish!  I have giantess feet.  Like a 9 or a 9 1/2.  Thanks though!

Love the dress! Red shoes will be SO cute with it, too. I think you'll be surprised how much you might wear them if you have them.

I have a pair of red dressy-ish flats that I love and can wear with lots of things.

You do have a pair of dressy black shoes, right?  Assuming yes, definitely get the red ones!  Like PP's said, you'd be surprised how often you can wear them.
