The responses to my last post are making me feel like a weirdo for putting LO down so early.
I shoot for 630ish but tonight since he only really had 2 naps and they weren't too too long he fell asleep at 6...and I think I could have put him down earlier he woke up from his last nap at 3 so he was up for a long time

Re: man...am I the only one with a super early bedtime

Dh is upping getting ds ready for bed now. Usually he is asleep around 730 but it was a bad nap day.
hey if it's working for ya, who cares?!?!
On NYE we went to my ILs. Abbey woke up at 8am didn't nap ALLLLL DAY and only finally fell asleep in the playpen at around 9pm!!! It was not an easy night when we drove home and she woke up again.
On more normal days she's down by 7:30 but she wakes up late...around 9:30
This exactly. And we're often struggling to keep him awake that last bit. Would *love* to push it back!

Kind of the same here, only DH gets home around 8:30, and if he's later, D stays awake to see him. 9-9:30 works best for us.

DH gets in late here too but there is no keeping J up. we shoot for 7 pm. sometimes he's ready around 6:30, sometimes he isn't ready till 7:30. depending on his naps and his cues.
same here. We've found the earlier she goes to bed the later she sleeps. Go figure!
I think it's all just about what works for your baby, family and life. In our case my husband works late (until at least 10pm), I'm a SAHM and we are all night owls so for our family my LOs late bedtime (11pm) works for us. She gets to see daddy most nights, she doesn't wake up super early which would kill me (I'm not a morning person at.all.), she isn't cranky at night so the schedule works for her and since I'm a SAHM we sleep late (the absolute earliest she gets up for the day is 9am, but normally it's more like 11am). Last, we cosleep and she doesn't do any more than nap until I'm in bed with her- though we are working on that last point.
Unless this schedule stops working for Caroline, we plan to stick with it until she starts school and has to get up early. Then we'll transition to a more "normal" sleeping schedule.
Obviously for a baby going to daycare, morning people and for working parents this wouldn't work for them.
DD is usually sleeping anywhere between 6 and 7. Last night though she was down by 5:45pm bc she had only one crappy nap thanks to being out of the house most of the day! You are definitely not alone!

Us too. I mean, whatever works for you, but I honestly can't imagine having a baby up until 10/11pm. I'm totally not flaming anyone for their choices, I just can't picture/think babies should be up that late.
All of this, including the cosleeping! DD goes to bed between 10:30-11 pm, wakes at 8:30 am to eat, then goes back to sleep for another 2-3 hours in our bed. I wake up with her. Bilssful sleeping until 11 am. DH and I are not morning people at ALL.
