We are as ready as we are every going to be.
The nursery is done, all the baby items are put together and up - all the house projects are done - the house is clean the wash is done - the house is stocked with supplies and food. Camera and video camera are charged and ready to go - my hospital bag is packed and in the car - the car seat is installed. I do not think there is much else we can do to get ready.
How about you - are you ready for baby??
What projects are still left on your checklist??
Re: Are you ready??
NOPE! and there is a good chance I will get admitted tomorrow.
Nursery is done
But I still have some things to finish for work and to finish packing our bag.
I guess (?) the house is ready. I've been on bedrest the past few days so I am trusting DH actually finished his chore list.
Our nursery isn't done but I figure LO won't be spending a lot of time in there to being with. Our glider still isn't in and we need a rug, some shelves for the walls, and we need to put up the pictures.
Other than that - I feel good about everything. We're ready whenever you are baby!
Started TTC 05.08
Me: Stage II endo, borderline high FSH
DH: perfect
1 lap, 5 IUIs = 4 BFNs and 1 c/p
2 IVFs, 2 FETs = 1 BFN, 1 c/p, 1 ectopic and finally a sticky BFP in May 2011!
1 FET in Aug 2013 = BFP!
Close.
A few things left to do but they are not imperative. They could wait.
we are ready and waiting.....my house was clean to start...but with a five year old DS there is no chance its gonna stay that way...i could/or should i say do run in circles all day behind him.
the nursery is done but like the PP said the baby wont be in there much anyway. As for the grocery shopping...eh....i should get some....but hey now i am resting and waiting for labor to start.

We are lot better off today than we were last weekend. In the past 4-5 days we've:
-Decided on a pediatrician
-Washed all the NB CDs
-Set up all the baby stuff- bouncer, PnP, etc.
-Installed the car seats (though they aren't checked yet)
-Purchased diaper pail liners and wetbags
Still left to do:
-Get car seats CHECKED
-Buy everything else that is "necessary" after my shower on Saturday
-Finish crib mobile (75% done, just being lazy with the sewing)
-Decide on a daycare (haven't even called anyone. OOOOPS)
Install car seat.
Find a pediatrician. Haven't even called anyone yet... I guess I should get on that.

First of all, we have the same due date!
We're almost there!
We have everything we need, and the nursery is mostly done. All we are waiting on is a bookshelf that should be here tomorrow and staining a couple pieces of the furniture. Most everything is packed as well!
:)
Beyond ready is more like it!
Nursery is finished, clothes washed, everything is put together, house is clean, hospital bags are packed, car seat installed and checked, pediatrician selected, groceries stocked and camera monitoring system installed! Now, all I need is my baby!!
Thank goodness we're finally (almost) ready...which is a relief since I'm due Friday and/or being induced on the 12th! Nursery is DONE, baby's clothes are washed and waiting for him, bags are packed, pediatrician is selected, pre-registered at hospital, just waiting to go into labor now!
That "almost" is in there because I have yet to install the car seat/get it checked for proper installation (which is because I'm too lazy/it's been too cold outside to clean out my car).
The only other thing is that we haven't stocked up on food or prepared meals to freeze, etc. That's just because we're not very good about doing that anyways. Seems like we're always running to the store for something...so that won't be anything new.
And the house gets cleaned everyday for the most part...so no point in trying to super-clean it...i'm sure it'll just get messed up before I go into labor anyway.
I do, however, have a mountain of laundry I'd like to conquer before D-Day.
DUE 11/29/15 with #2!!!
Mommy to Kalen - 1/12/12
My bags are packed and we are ready! COME ONNNN BABY!
The little things we have left:
- move carseat bases to behind passenger rather than driver
- hang up curtains once they arrive (tomorrow)
- get a little bookcase for baby's books
- put up the art/pictures on the wall.
The nursery is completely ready and all of the baby's clothes, blankets, towels, etc. are washed and neatly put away. I plan to sterilize all the bottles, nipples, and pacifiers tonight.
My hospital bag is packed and a separate bag containing the baby's clothes are all ready to go.
Things left to do:
- Install carseat
- Set up his PNP for our downstairs family room
I don't plan to freeze meals beforehand since I have family who will be staying with us to help out the first few weeks. I'll probably stock up on frozen meals, though.
Not ready at all. I mean, if she came now we would survive but there's a ton still to do:
Pack hospital bag (I'm so lost on where to begin I have been totally avoiding it, good thing we live three minutes from the hospital so I feel like I can send hubby or my mom to fetch if I forget stuff)
Install car seat
Hang decorations in nursery
Install closet doors (special order for odd size so won't be in for 3 weeks)
Get bedroom door installed (we are slowly replacing all the old 60s slab doors)
Sew curtains for nursery (my grandma is doing this but I have to go help)
Not baby related but would like to get done:
Paint front of house
Put in shoe moulding in hall and livingroom
My husband's list is probably: Build home theater computer (men
)
We're almost there!
What's left:
- grocery + cook & freeze meals
- big clean of house (wash floors, tidy tidy tidy!)
- put together bouncer
- finish diaper prep - ordered pail & wipes
- finish packing bag for hospital
Nursery still to-do:
- reupholster chair + ottoman (might be a few months!)
- hang pictures
- order & hang curtains
But like PP's said, LO won't be in nursery right away, so these things can wait until we're all back on our feet!
More than what's above, we have tons of miscellaneous errands to run post-holidays - like returns, shopping for little stuff, and prepping car for the winter.
