Madison OB/GYN?

Hi, we recently moved to the Madison area (west side), and I'm looking for an Ob/gyn. We have GHC insurance, and it looks like the network includes the UW Health doctors. Does anyone have a doctor they love?

Meaghan Combs at Odana Atrium is super nice. She will be the one to deliver my little one. :) I dont know if she is accepting new patients but it's worth looking into. :)

My Ob's for my first and will eventually be for my second was Melius/Cardwell and Shurr...they are a private woman's clinic in Fitchburg.

I would highly recommend them because I interviewed a bunch of OB's and most were terrible.  I loved all 4 of the Ob's at my clinic and actually have a hard time picking which I liked best.

    Good Luck!

I have my first appointment with www.MadisonWomensHealth.com - they have come highly recommended from a few friends who have gone their. I have also gotten recomendations for Dr. Bills at UW Health on Junction Road.

Good luck and welcome to Madison! I'm a life long resident so if you need  anything, I'm here to help!

I'm a little late to the game with this posting, but just in case.... :-)  I just had a baby and I used the docs at 20 S. park st.  My original doctor actually had her own baby in december so when she went on leave, I saw a variety of doctors.  And once you go into labor, you tend to get whoever is generally on call anway.  I was in labor forever so I saw everyone under the sun it seemed like.

With that said, there were 2 doctors that were there during my labor who I LOVED and will probably actually go to them in the future versus the doctor I orignally started with.

Like the previous poster said, Dr. Bills is awesome.  He was there for the majority of my labor and although he seems like a quiet/serious guy (which i am far from) he was great and I got him to laugh and open up a little which helped me and how i was feeling.  He was awesome for sure.  He'll probably be my first choice my next time around.

The doctor who actually delievered my baby was Dr. Kim Mackey (male despite the first name).  He was great too.  Very reassuring and great conversation with some laughs.

    Just my two cents.  :-)

I highly recommend Dr. Meghan Ogden of UW Health-East. She's super nice and completely down-to-earth.

I second Dr. Ogden...she's great and has children of her own, so she can relate. I had Dr. Bills deliver my first and I really didn't like him. He discharged me early (what I wanted) with my second, so I guess he's ok :P
